I am a big advocate for seeing university not only as a place to obtain a degree, but a gateway of new experiences and opportunities which help prune a student into the best versions of themselves.

I feel very humbled and touched to have received the Royal Pharmacy Society Student of Year Award from my university. It means a lot to me and is a real testament of the beauty in being proactive, advocating for pharmacy and taking on new opportunities.

I hope to use this as proof to other current and aspiring pharmacy students of what they too can achieve and below are my top 9 university tips. These are a mixture of things I appreciated doing and some I wish knew before starting university. I hope they are helpful.

1. Self-appreciation

2. Be you, do you and embrace you

3. Get organised

4. Get involved

5. You are never alone

6. Set up networking accounts

7. Network with those in years above you

8. Befriend your lecturers

9. Give yourself grace

I delve deeper into these 9 tips here:

As the saying goes, your network is your net worth!

Particularly in our day and age, if used appropriately I believe social media really is a valuable tool. If any of what I have said resonates with you, you have any questions or you would simply like to network, feel free to befriend me on my socials and say hi! I would love to get to know you and help where I can! 😊
